Indian Society for Community Education is a voluntary non-government organization established in 1982 at Ahmedabad. Late Prof. Ramlal Parikh a well known Gandhian and educationist was the leading force behind the establishment of ISCE. Under his able leadership ISCE spread its activities and contributed significantly in the areas of adult education, continuing education and population education.

Our Mission is :Indian Society For Community Education (ISCE) organized Prof. Ramlal parikh memorial lecture series since 2000 to commomerate the memory and contribution of Prof. Ramlal Parikh. More then 15 lectures are delivered by eminent personalities.
ISCE in collaboration of ISPE & Kamal Nayan Bajaj Peace Research Institute Of Gujarat Vidhyapith organize a public lecture of eminent personalities on contempory issues since the year 2000. more then 16 lectures are organized.
ISCE has successfully organized 6 international and 12 national conferences at different places focusing on different areas of community education. The conference has generated interest among academic institutions, NGOs and Committed Social workers.
Reading Camps is designed for high school and college going students with an objective of increasing their interests in general reading and literature. 3-5 days residential camp organized at the head quarters of ISCE. Camp also includes half a day visit to famous institutions and libraries in Ahmedabad.
Intellectuals and social activitists, researchers, national policy makers, students and all concerned citizens actively participate in brainstorming sessions which are led by experts on the subject. We have discussed education policy, naxalism, reservation policy and special economic Zone policy and programmes.
Indian Society For Community Education developed a one day module of a workshop for would be teachers (B.Ed and P.T.C. students), journalists, lawyers etc who can influence the society through their thoughts and actions. The objective is to become good citizen.

ISCE organized School Programs like Child Development Activity - Primary School, Flag hoisting Programme,Healthy Child Competition (Aanganvaadi), Parents - Teachers Meeting - Primary School, Environment Guidance Camp - Secondary School, Ellocution Competition, Cricket Competition, Essay Competition etc.
Indian Society For Community Education (ISCE) works on a Strategic Plan In Action Programmes in about 50 villages focusing primarily on farmers. Farmers clubs are formed in these villages with the support of NABARD and these clubs undertake several developmental activities.
Indian Society For Community Education (ISCE) regularly organizes conventions of village women and farmers to increase their awareness on contemporary issues development. They include exhibitions, educational games, plays, competitions, plays, competitions etc.
Bridge the gap of technology usage and to enable people from weaker segments of the society to acquire basic knowledge. ISCE runs a computing skill development program by setting up a computer laboratory. Trained professionals have developed the courses keeping in view requirements of society.
Indian Society For Community Education (ISCE) has planned to establish rural knowledge centers in about 10 villages of Mansa taluka with an objective to increase accessibility and knowledge of people in rural areas.
ISCE publishes a quarterly magazine 'YATRA PATH' Articles on research papers, highlights of ISCE activities etc. are getting published in it. Edited by our trustee Dr. Manda Parikh, YATRA PATH intends to bring before its readers all important issues of community education.
