Indian Society for Community Education (ISCE) is a non-governmental organization established in 1982 as a public charitable trust in Ahmedabad. Late Prof. Ramlal Parikh, a well-known Gandhian and educationist, was the founder of ISCE. Under his able leadership, ISCE expanded its activities and contributed significantly in the areas of adult education, continuing education, population education, and other educational interventions that are important components of community education.

ISCE aims to promote lifelong and life-centered education through meaningful programs, initiatives, and activities designed for diverse communities. We strive to identify and bridge gaps in holistic education by providing inclusive, relevant, and value-based learning opportunities for all.
OUR OBJECTIVES
To promote lifelong learning.
To promote innovative community education projects.
To organize and promote special programs for rural community education in the context of Indian rural society.
To help people of all age groups and all segments of the community realize their potential to solve their own problems.
To transform schools and other educational institutions into human development laboratories.
To collect and disseminate information about community education programs in India as well as abroad.
To publish journals, monographs, books, booklets, brochures, newsletters, etc., on community education, whether priced or free.
