ISCE organizes 3-day residential training programs for primary school teachers to encourage innovative teaching using literature as a learning tool. Around 40 teachers participate in each camp, where they explore Gujarati literature and create their own poems, stories, and stage plays.
So far, 5 camps have been conducted, training 173 teachers.
ISCE conducts quizzes on different subject matters that people in society should know more about.
The quiz is open to all, including housewives, students, and teachers. It consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, and the quiz remains open for 48 hours to submit answers.
“Aapni Kavita Aapna Mate” is a literary initiative by ISCE that aims to popularize famous Gujarati poems and their simple explanations among the general public.

The Concerned Citizenship Workshop is an initiative by the Indian Society for Community Education aimed at promoting awareness on indian Constitution, civic responsibilities, democratic values, and concern or social issues.
The program encourages individuals to become responsible and active citizens, contributing to social harmony and national development.
The State Government has introduced “Bag-Free Day” on Saturdays for students from Standards 1 to 8. In support of this initiative, the Indian Society for Community Education (ISCE) has started an activity-based learning program for Standard 5 students at Navrang School, Naranpura.
Currently conducted on an experimental basis, the program includes 17 creative activities such as storytelling, drawing, gardening, clay work, games, drama, and yoga, guided by experts from different fields.
The initiative helps enhance learning experiences and reduce academic stress among students. Based on the results of Session 1 and Session 2, ISCE will decide on the future expansion of the program.
In a democratic framework, opinions and views of an individual on issues of common concerns are crucial and their quality determines the state of functioning of the democracy. In order to enable the citizens to do so, ISCE has started Vimarsh programme, so that people can acquire better and holistic insight on the issues of national importance. Intellectuals, social activists, researchers, national policy makers, students and all concerned citizens actively participate in the brain storming discussions which are led by experts on the subject.
ISCE organizes a Rangoli Competition during Diwali to encourage creativity and cultural expression. The competition is open to participants of all ages, and expert judges select the top three designs for awards.
ISCE designs and implements structured awareness programs in schools to address internet and social media addiction. These programs promote digital well-being, emotional balance, and responsible online behavior among students.
The Flag Hoisting Programme, organized by ISCE, is a patriotic initiative aimed at fostering national pride and unity. The event includes the ceremonial hoisting of the Indian national flag, followed by a collective salute and the singing of the national anthem.
It aims to inspire participants to understand the values of citizenship, respect for the nation, and the significance of the Indian tricolor.
